Grace Church
Built: March 7, 1846
Religious denomination: Anglican Communion (Episcopal)
Interesting facts:
Constructed from 1843-46, this is the first masterpiece of James Renwick, Jr., who would become, after Richard Upjohn, one of the foremost practitioners of the Gothic Revival style. This commission, executed when he was only 25, firmly established Renwick's reputation.
The ceiling now appears as it did over 170 years ago when the building was first consecrated.
